OUR FOUNDER

Adaobi Oprah Agwuna is a Nigerian designer and the

Creative Director of Ímátá Studios,

a women's wear brand based in Lagos.

She is known for using vibrant colors, unique textures,

and sustainable practices like upcycling and collaborating with local artisans. 

Her work celebrates individuality, sustainability, and bold creativity,

with collections featuring bright,

stretchy fabrics designed to flatter all body types.

 

The studio's name, Ímátá, is rooted in the Igbo phrase

"ịmata onwe ya," meaning "to know oneself,"

and is inspired by the idea of breaking free from

constraints and exploring limitless styles.
